Current developments
New Heart of the Campus
Works are underway to create The Lyth Building. Situated at the front of the campus, this flagship building will provide excellent teaching, learning and research dedicated to geography, environment, ecology and conservation.
It will feature a campus reception, a café and dining area, large open plan spaces, a 200-seat lecture theatre, state-of-the-art teaching and research rooms as well as many beautiful outdoor areas to relax and socialise in.
Construction started in March 2018. The teaching building is due to open in January 2020 and all other areas are due for completion in summer 2020.
Completed developments
New student accommodation
Works started this summer to build a new student accommodation complex comprising of 191 beds across two sites, allowing more students to live on campus. This development is now complete.
